Bella Petawabano for Deputy Grand Chief

Bella PetawabanoI have always been interested and involved in issues related to the well-being of Cree families.

I held various administrative positions at the beginning of my career, but soon found my true calling when I became a Social Aid Worker and Community Worker in the 1980’s. Since I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree in 1987, I have focused my attention on the delivery of services to families.

Over the past seven years, I was inspired to support the development of the Cree Nation by becoming a public health administrator working with the nine Cree communities of Eeyou Istchee.
